The Bradshaw Thanksgiving was a total turkey (pun intended) on last night’s The Carrie Diaries (Season 1, Episode 6 “Endgame“).
Amidst trying to impress her family and her new guy (Richard Kohnke), Carrie’s (AnnaSophia Robb) “perfect” dinner becomes anything but when it literally goes up in flames. I loved the connection here between our teenaged narrator and her adult counterpart.
If you crazy Carrie fans recall, in season 3 of Sex and the City, this memorable exchange took place:
Miranda: Do you have a rolling pin?
Carrie: On me?
Miranda: In your kitchen.
Carrie: Are you kidding me? I use my oven for storage.
A ha! We can all sleep better tonight knowing that we can blame Miss Bradshaw’s aversion to the kitchen on the great burning bird incident of 1984.
