Arrow Beauty: Get Katie Cassidy’s ‘Leading Lady’ Look

No surprises here. When I asked Arrow Makeup Artist Patricia Murray to describe Katie Cassidy‘s beauty regime, she said that phrase we all dread: Katie’s a “natural beauty.”

Well, OK, she actually said “Katie is a beauty and naturally radiant,” but all I took from that was the word natural. As in, once Katie sits down in the makeup chair, Patricia doesn’t need to do much to boost her good looks for the The CW show, she just merely enhances them.

We could all hate the actress for this kind of unfair advantage. Or we could embrace the fact that Patricia was nice enough to give us an inside look into that aforementioned makeup enhancement. Perhaps this way we can attempt to copy it?

With “sparkling eyes, soft lips, and softly flushed cheeks,” explained the beauty maven, ”[Katie's] makeup flatters her ‘romantic, leading lady’ look.”

Part of playing leading lady Laurel Lance in the comic-book-inspired action series means getting to bat her eyes at Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) … a lot. Thus, Patricia magnifies Katie’s peepers with eye shadow shades in a range of soft warm and bronze tones and a few coats of mascara.

And, for the record, those eyelashes are not fake. “She has amazing lashes!!,” Patricia declared.

And there we go again, back to hating her.
